Back-to-School Uniform Donation and Giveaway

It’s that time of year again and we want to make sure our children have everything they need to have a productive school year.  Many churches, organizations, and groups give away school supplies and this year we want help by giving away school uniforms! We want to give 50 single parents a “Uniform Bundle” that includes (5) shirts and (2) pair of pants.

Single Parents can register below. Please fill out the form completely. Parents will be contacted on pick-up date and location.

*May only register two children per/household

*Bundles come in youth sizes only

We still need (50) people to donate $45 which will cover the cost of the Uniform Bundle. For those who are unable to sponsor a Uniform Bundle, a donation in any amount is appreciated. If you would like to donate please click the here.

SSCUG Naming Contest…Girl Wins $50 Visa Gift Card!

The South Side Coalition on Urban Girls (SSCUG) are looking for girls between the ages 12-18 living on the South Side of Chicago for a chance to win a $50 Visa Gift Card and be featured in a Resource Guide for Urban Girls. All they have to do is come up with a catchy name for it. The Resource Guide is for girls on the South Side of Chicago to assist them with finding things they may need like after-school programs, clinics, health information, fun activities, and any other things girls may need. Girls can send their name idea to by January 31, 2012. Winner will be announced in February.
